New furniture · Atlanta & nationwide project coordination

Start with the noise problem you need to solve.

An echoing room, distracting conversations and a private-call space call for different approaches. PSU helps identify furniture and acoustic products to consider for your workplace.

Choose the approach that fits

Absorptive panels & treatments

Consider wall, ceiling or freestanding products where room reflections and reverberation are the concern.

Desk screens & dividers

Compare screening, mounting and layout needs at the workstation. A desk divider does not create an enclosed private room.

Booths & sound masking

Review the specific use, documented product performance and installation requirements. Sound masking and sound isolation are different approaches.

What to decide before ordering

  • Where the noise comes from and where it causes difficulty.
  • Room size, finishes, ceiling conditions and the current layout.
  • Whether the goal is comfort, fewer distractions or confidential conversation.
  • Photos, mounting restrictions, power needs and any performance requirement.

Brands and product selection

PSU can review acoustic panels, screens, booths and sound-masking options across its existing offerings. We recommend a product after understanding the room and the problem; results depend on the complete installation.

Plan the order and arrival schedule

Acoustic products have different materials, sizes and installation requirements. PSU confirms availability and lead time for the selected components, then coordinates delivery and any installation included in the proposal.

Planning estimates reviewed October 24, 2026. Manufacturer shipping time is separate from transit, delivery and installation. Product, finish, quantity and a complete approved order affect timing; PSU confirms the schedule for your proposal.

Questions about office acoustical solutions

Will acoustic panels make our office soundproof?

Do not treat acoustic panels as a soundproofing guarantee. The room, openings and selected products need to be considered together against your specific goal.

Is sound masking the same as active noise cancellation?

No. Sound masking adds controlled background sound to make conversations less distinct. Active noise cancellation is a different technology; the terms should not be used interchangeably.

What should we send for a first discussion?

Photos, room dimensions, a brief description of the noise source and where people are affected. Include any requirement for private conversations or mounting restrictions.

Plan furniture, delivery and installation together

Space planning is complimentary with a furniture project; design-only work and substantial reconfigurations may carry charges. After your deposit, PSU’s dedicated installation coordinator is your point of contact for furniture and installation. New furniture is ordered only after the deposit.
